Zoey - 8ft Rowboat
Zoey is the boat you row before breakfast.
At eight feet, she's Whisper Marine's smallest craft -- built for one thing: getting on the water with no fuss. Light enough to launch alone, simple enough to leave the checklist at home, Zoey is a proper rowboat first, with the fit and finish to make her feel like more than a tender.
She's set up for sculling as well as rowing -- through-bolted oarlocks mounted at the transom let her be worked figure-eight style, single-oar, the traditional way a small boat gets moved when you don't feel like putting two oars in the water. For days you'd rather not row at all, Zoey also takes a small electric outboard -- a 3HP-class, transom-mounted motor with a height-adjustable mount, so power is there when you want it and out of the way when you don't.
Finished in a deep gloss red over a clean white hull, Zoey has the look of a boat that was built to be looked at as much as rowed. She shares her hull lines with her sister boat, Lucy -- Whisper Marine's 8-foot sailing dinghy -- so the two make a natural pair at a dock or a club rack.
Zoey is simple on purpose. No systems to manage, nothing to wire in unless you want the motor, nothing standing between you and the water.
